The Kiwanis Club of Horizon City, El Paso is one part of Kiwanis International, a global organization of volunteers dedicated to changing the world, one community and one child at a time. The Kiwanis Club of Horizon City, El Paso performs many community service projects in our community to help serve children. The Kiwanis Club of Horizon City has an annual fundraiser that also displays our love of community and country. The club sells subscriptions to a "flag service". The service provides for the installation of a socket and the posting of the American flag in front of one's home or business five days a year - Memorial Day, Flag Day, Independence Day, Labor Day and Veterans' Day. The cost is $25.00 annually. Once the initial committment is made, customers are notified each year for renewal. Horizon City has been noted many times in the local media for the display of the flags and has been called "Flag City". To download a copy of the contract click here |
